Lack of food effects all our homeless dogs and cats support a local shelter or food bank with your extra change.
SIX TO EIGHT MILLION CATS AND DOGS ENTER THE NATIONS 3,500 SHELTERS EVERY YEAR ACCORDING TO THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF THE UNITED STATES
Making sure the food banks and shelters have the food they need is critical., adequate food and supplies to care for the pets, increases the time an animal will most likely have to stay at a shelter, increasing its chances of being adopted. The elderly and low income individuals are often put in situations where they do not have the money to feed their pets. In a lot of cases these animals end up in shelters, or they are turned loose on the street, where they are exposed to disease, hunger, and in many cases a pregnancy, thus adding to the over population of the homeless on the streets and in our shelters.
